The Hero’s Journey: Call to Adventure

Join us as each day starting on November 21st we embark on a quest to gather allies,
fortify our castle, and raise funds to make this year’s camp one of the best!
Sound the horns and light the beacons! The call to adventure starts now and we need your help. Every journey begins with a single step and here is yours: share out our social media, newsletter, and our Givng Tuesday page to everyone you know. The more people that know the more we can do! Let all of Midgard, Middle-earth, and Middlesex County know that The Story School calls for aid. Huzzah!

Every great adventure needs its wizards and magic and our Giving Tuesday is no exception. Did you know that many companies offer magical aid in donation matching? Some even have specific matching for Giving Tuesday and End of Year Giving. Before taking time off for Thanksgiving, see if your company is one of those. Day 3: Nov 23 -- Day Of Fellowship and Thanks
Spend time with your family and friends and enjoy as much as you can a day to reflect on all that you are grateful for this past summer. We are grateful to our community of campers, staff, parents, volunteers, board members, and supporters who make all of this possible!
Day 4: Nov 24 -- Give the Gift of Reviews
We know that not everyone can give money this season and so we are asking for help in showing off what makes The Story School, Camp FABLE, and Camp Grimoire so amazing. Take a break from shopping today, and give the gift of a review on one of these platforms:

You have my axe, my bow, and my MasterCard! Reach out to at least 8 of your friends and family - the true fellowship had 9 heroes! Tag them in social media, directly message with email/text, or show up at their local tavern with a hood and a scroll. Just make sure they have the same call to action to donate with you. Feel free to forward our Giving Tuesday newsletters to help!

You may think you know everything about us but the greatest wizards always have secrets and heroes have many layers. Seek the ancient tomes and grimoires (our About Page) to learn more about our mission and how we work toward our vision of a better future for our heroes through entertaining, engaging, and educational adventures. Master your own version of an epic monologue. "The day may come when the credit of Lady Visa falters and donations fail...but today is not that day!"

Day 7: Nov 27 -- Campfire Stories
(Memory Monday)
This is it. Our final rest before the great day of Giving ahead. Share stories of your epic adventures in the past with The Story School. Tag us on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok as you share how Camp FABLE and Camp Grimoire have made a difference in your life and the lives of your heroes.
Day 8: Nov 28 -- Giving Tuesday
Huzzah! You have made it noble heroes. But the last step of the quest remains, you must join with your allies to finish the adventure: donate! Together, side by side with our allies: alumni, staff, heroes, family, community, and those who we do not know yet but can still call friend. No hero and no donation is too small when the goal of providing this wonderful home for heroes stands before us!
