Help The Story School

Donations and Fundraisers

The Story School is always in need of heroes. In 2025, we had over $50,000 in scholarship requests and were only able to raise $30,000. In 2026, we anticipate an even greater need as we continue to grow. Support our 2026 season scholarships, props and costumes, and the wonderful staff that make this camp a home for our nerd-o-diverse heroes! You can donate or volunteer at any time to support our interactive, immersive, and inclusive programs. Stay connected to our community by following us on social media

Testimonials

Every kid deserves a summer...

Summer camp is transformative. There is no other space like it for youth. It is separate from school, family, and even the familiar. Here is a space where campers can recreate themselves and in the process discover who they truly are. They find a community of like-minded humans all given permission to play. Friendships forged at camp stick with us for a lifetime. Stories at camp become core memories that are never forgotten. And the LARP programs of Camp Fable and Camp Grimoire add another level to this formative and unique experience. Identity is playful and neurodivergence is the norm. Each unique skill and trait that campers bring with them makes them a character that their friends and the story cannot do without.

Camp is a place of growth. Every day is a new experience that helps campers learn about themselves and overcome personal challenges. Community and teamwork are built into the very fabric of our programs. Campers choose their adventuring party bonding over their shared values and goals. The stand side by side against the forces of evil and share stories of their friends in battle. They build confidence, character, and compassion creating the foundation of their personal code of honor that will travel with them forever. How could you not want that for every kid you know? How could we keep this from as many youth as possible?

We can simply continue learning, having fun, and growing. That we won’t be fighting over minor differences. That everyone who needs help will be not only accepted but assisted.

Cosplay for a Good Cause

Our Goal:

  • $40,000 for Scholarship Requests! Every year more and more families need help sending their hero to camp. Help us make sure all heroes come to camp

  • $5,000 in Camp Renovations. We are updating our large indoor spaces to help with acoustics that have prevented our auditory-sensitive and neurodivergent campers from feeling welcome in those spaces. Help us make every camper feel welcome.

Camp Dinner & S'more 2025

3rd Annual Silent Auction

The Story:

We hosted an evening of community and campfire at our annual auction. In-person guests were treated to a camp dinner, amazing items to peruse, foam sword games, and s'mores round the campfire. The auction raised over $2,300 toward scholarships and programming with $350 going directly to the Worcester County Food Bank. Thank you to all our guests for helping feed our neighbors and give out more scholarships
